hood2goodNo matter what you do in life, whenever you take action on your dreams and goals  and start to blaze a trail beyond your comfort zone, you will attract both followers and snipers.

If you are someone who is trying to build an online business and if you believe in your business goals, do not let the opinions of any negative folk around you persuade you into giving up on your dream.

You Are Not A Slave

You cannot be truly independent if you are a slave to other people’s opinions of you and what you are doing.

Ultimately, it is your choice whether or not you give your power away to other people because you are afraid of their opinion of you.

Listen To Johnny!

As Johnny Wimbrey, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and author of From the Hood to Doing Good: From Adversity to Prosperity Through the Choices You Make puts it,

“Never allow someone else’s opinion become your reality”

If this is an issue for you, and you are not familiar with Johnny Wimbrey and his message, here is a promotional video of some clips taken from some of Johnny’s motivational speeches.

You may find it helpful because if Johnny Wimbrey can be a winner, coming from his background, you can win too, no matter what your circumstances are right now.

Do Not Invest Your Energy In Negative People

Given that negative snipers are an inevitable part of the scene for any successful person, how should you deal with them?

First of all, do not invest your time and energy in negative people.

If they are colleagues who you have to spend time with, let that be a motivation to succeed in your online business so that you can eventually fire your boss and escape from your negative colleagues.

In the meantime, as they do not support your new venture, stop talking to them about it – stop fuelling the fire!

A Season Of Separation

If your detractors are your so-called “friends,” spend less time in the company of your old circle. That will free up some time for you to work on your business and pursue your higher purpose.

If your detractors are those of your own household, then you may need to set up a “season of separation” from them too.

Gather A New Tribe

On the positive side, as you separate yourself and focus on building your business and your vision for your future, you will grow stronger through the pain. You will begin to find new friends who will support and encourage you. You will gather a new tribe.

Make a point of attending the events run by Internet marketing leaders in your business. Join business clubs in your town or locality, or, if there are not clubs, take the initiative and set one up yourself.

Become A Leader

Be proactive. Become a leader. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone. Avoid those who deal in negativity. Pursue your goals more vigorously and single-mindedly and you will begin to attract like-minded, positive people to you.

As you do, they will also look to you to help them through similar struggles. Everything you have been doing up until now has been training you to help others in this way.

That, at least, has been my experience.
